About the projectRANCHO SOL DORADO IS A 120-ACRE PRIVATE RANCH COMMUNITY AND CLUB OUTSIDE SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE. QUERENCIA HAD JUST ACQUIRED THE PROPERTY AND WAS REBUILDING THE BRAND. WE CAME IN AND SHOT THE PROPERTY FOR TWO DAYS.
The shoot served two campaigns at once: location backdrop for our Volando Tequila campaign, and original property content for Rancho Sol Dorado's rebrand under new ownership.

How the project worked
The original engagement was a trade — four days, three nights at the ranch in exchange for content rights to property photography. Rooms, meals, and on-property activities all included.
That kind of arrangement only works when the client trusts the studio to deliver finished, useable work without a traditional brief-and-budget structure. It worked. After the trip, the ranch came back as a paying client to edit a promotional video from additional footage we'd captured on site.
